Sail Date: Sep 2009

We cruised on the Royal Caribbean Jewel of the Seas on a seven day cruise starting September 26, 2009.

We had a forced night in Boston, and we got put up at the Boston Hilton. Wonderful hotel, just two minutes from the airport. Ended up being closer to 30 minutes, because the RCCL agent called the airport for the shuttle, and after waiting 20 minutes, they called again. The airport to hotel transfer ended up being the hotel shuttle. The Boston Hilton had expensive, though good food, and bring your own breakfast, because they had a $25 breakfast buffet. Travel to the seaport was about 10 minutes!

We embarked out of Boston and visited: Portland, Maine; Bar Harbor, Maine; Saint John, New Brunswick; and Halifax, Nova Scotia. Our cruise came with two days at sea: day four and day 6.

Cabin Review

Our inside stateroom was 165 square feet, and it was just around the corner from the Centrum. Very noisy in the hallway, but quiet once we closed the door. No amenities in the bathroom, except soap. Shampoo dispenser in the shower. Bed was comfortable. We had two night table stands on either side of the bed. Lots of shelf space. We could wheel our huge 26" suitcase in the closet.

Didn't try room service. Considered it a few times with breakfast, but the only day we really would have considered it was de-embarkation day. I would have loved to have them deliver wake-up coffee and juice, but we didn't care to pay additional gratuity.
