Sail Date: Aug 2017
Cabin: Balcony Stateroom with Shower

Cruise chosen because P&O treat passengers like adults, ports of call, variety of reasonably priced trips, `live' performers, bonded luggage scheme and a few new ports for us to visit.

Oceania is due her refit and it was slightly noticeable but did not detract from the top rate service.

A beers and standard drinks package would have been welcome in addition to the soft drinks, coffee and wine schemes.

Balcony Stateroom with Shower

Cabin JA

Reasonable size and facilities. great to have tea making facility with UK sockets. Brilliant"not in your face", friendly efficient Steward (Roy)

Port Reviews

Malta (Valletta)

The modern passenger lift near to the ship is a great way to get to the city easily and quickly. Malta is still the Island of history and hidden charms

Katakolon (Olympia)

Lovely little harbour with shops if you need them. Great train service direct to Olympia 2/3 hundred yards fro the port gate.

Athens (Piraeus)

Went to see live football match in O'Connell's bar near to the port. Very welcoming, great service, good food and a free round of drinks from the owner

Sarande

The tour to Butraint national park is a must if you like Greek, Roman, Venetian and Byzantine sites. all with paths shaded by olive trees between the 15 different features. We took the shorter Lower park tour that missed out the climb to the Temple.

Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is the Gem of the Adriatic that we have visited many times and therefore we had a cill out day around the port.

Hvar

Great port to visit for history, culture and very pretty harbour. if you want to climb to the fortress, Zig Zag across the various streets and alleyways that run parallel up to the top. That way you get to see some of the hidden sites and local townfolks homes

Venice

We used the People Mover that runs from behind the Port to Piazza Roma, it leads onto the Grand Canal and walking route to St Marks Square. 3 euros round trip. The internal port shuttle bus was not running which meant everybody had a longish walk to the boats into town or the port gate.
