Embarkation went smooth, approx. an hour if you didn't have FTTP. Went to room to pick up the sign and sail card and room was ready for us(1:00PM). We were in cabin 7-324, our Steward Suphol and crew was awesome, especially when I get turned around on the ship, crew knew my name and where my room was located. Inside cabin, small but you only need a place in the evening. We took naps on the deck lounges. We dined in the Black Pearl, Steward staff was awesome! The food was as expected, We had two formal nights, and sad to say not everyone dressed up.
I enjoyed only one comedy show by Tommy Drake, he was awesome. Bingo was fun and MARK Q, the Cruise Director was Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! If you get a chance to be on any ship with Mark Q, you will not have a dull moment. If you buy the Cheers package, its worth it if you drink about 6 drinks. This is also good for specialty coffees, milk shakes and bottled water is included. At times we felt the bar staff on the Lido deck catered more toward the guests who didn't purchase the Cheers package.
Turks and Caicos, we did Gibbs Bay to swim the the stingrays, loved it.
Checking your charges by television was confusing. They had our gratuities and packages we purchased on board on the invoice, these were all prepaid. Had to wait in the sign and sail line to check with staff.
Food was average at the buffets, got sick from the Mongolian Wok, chicken and port was not cooked properly. Prime rib was kind of dry, they had brown gravy instead of au jus. BBQ upstairs was dry as well, ask for warm BBQ sauce .
I loved this "PINK" ship otherwise and will take it again if ship sails to different ports.
Prayers for guests who took the extended days on Splendor...hope everyone is safe.
