Okay, so you're going to say "you get what you pay for", but you deserve better! Pay the extra $100 for better quality! Its not the ship (which is older and smaller, so it produces more pollutants so beware when the ship is sailing and your at the back of the ship), its the crew/staff and the fine print! Of course you have some crew that are nice (mostly bartenders), but they obviously do not get the same training as other better quality cruise ships, especially customer service and anyone that you need to call. My friend and I needed customer service for the exact same thing, i went to one member and she to another, I was able to do what i needed, but they other guy told her no. There is a lack of communication, and it is obvious on the faces of the crew that they do not want to be there because they are overworked and underpaid. Wait staff at the restaurants are terrible, and took forever to change courses. As for activities, shows were very high schooly, in terms of performance except for one or two actors. It lacked a sharpness for having to repeat it so often. Spa was ok (i had a decent experience with a facial, but my friend's manicure was done in less than 10 minutes, not exaggerating), but obviously rushed to get in as many people as possible. The cruise frequently has extra charges. They actually CHARGE for the comedian. I have never seen that on another cruise ship. Its always included. You will be nickeled and dimed for many things. Expect to have a good hundred dollars extra because there will be things you never would have thought of. Not surprising is alcohol, but the drinks were small for $10 a pop, plus an automatic 18% for gratuity. Even if the service is bad they get 18%. There was only a few servers that i felt deserved that much. The cruise line should be paying them more appropriately. Food was cafeteria food. Sometimes they would try to make it look fancy, but it was still bland and lacked variety. I've had better lean cuisines. We decided not to do a shore excursion after seeing a review of the island on YouTube, which worked in our favor because we could get into the pools with less people. But man, that view! I hope you love the sight of shipping docks full of containers and boats, and oil pads with rusty ships! Don't forget the eyesore of the oil refineries! There are tons of them! If you get yourself in the right spot, you may be able to take a picture, crop out the edges for your friends to fool them into thinking this was amazing. Overall, nope. If this is the first cruise you have ever been on, maybe you'll like it because you have nothing else to compare it to. But once you go you will find a lot of unhappy campers who felt that they were misled.

Cabin Review

This was the only part i was okay with. my only negative comment would be the additional keys to the room instead of adding it to your card. But it is an older ship so not surprised. For a place that you are just going to sleep and shower, its clean.
