I chose AMA waterways for my second river cruise because I liked the variety of excursions and the different cities/towns on the itinerary. My wife and I just came back from a 7 day Romantic Danube cruise on the AmaCerto ship. All I can say is WOW. I felt like I was traveling on a floating 5 star hotel with excellent food and wine and a staff that was so friendly and accommodating. Our cruise director, Peter, was so welcoming and truly hilarious. He set the tone for fun and warmth. The itinerary included Budapest, Vienna, Salzburg, Passau, Bratslava. There were bikes available either with some of the tours or to be used individually. There were 2 optional excursions in Vienna to attend a night concert which was excellent as well as a tour of a palace.

There was some nights with local entertainment including a mini-beer fest at Vilshofen, a Hungarian show in Budapest, a 3 person classical piece.

There were also 2 wine tours.

Cabin Review

Stateroom with French balcony

Cabin C

The room was a little on the small size, especially the bathroom. However, the French Balcony was all we needed as we spent little time in the room during the day. The interior of the room was well appointed and attractive.
