We thought going to Japan would be somewhat exotic.
Spent 2 days in Tokyo prior to embarkation. We did this on our own. We really enjoyed Tokyo; the weather was extremely humid.
Princess told us to be there by 12:30 PM for embarkation as we were "first" for boarding. Actually that had no bearing. The earlier you got there the sooner you boarded. Our balcony cabin was very small; bathroom very small. Food was excellent. There was not anytime dining which we truly missed. Horizon for the buffet was all together. There were no separate stations for omelets, pancakes/waffles. (They were available but everything was together.)
Staff was very courteous. Ports were only fair. Tours must be booked early as each tour was available in Japanese and in English. Consequestly, if you did not book early you would not get what you wanted. Princess planned entertainment in the atrium which made for very crowded condidtions.
The biggest problem coming from the USA was the 13 hour time difference.
Cabin was very small. No real seating area like we have had on Celebrity. There was one chair plus a vanity/desk chair. Bathroom was small. Shower was very small. Closet was ample.
