We chose this cruise because we have wanted to visit Bermuda for a long time. This was a trip for our anniversary, so it was me and DH. We flew into Newark, NJ from Atlanta early Saturday morning and spent the day in New York. United changed the time of our flight from 7:15 to 6:00 a.m. without notification. We found out when printing our boarding passes. The Ramada Plaza in Newark stored our luggage while we visited New York. The staff there was very helpful with giving us directions and taking care of us. Sunday morning we took the shuttle to the port, arriving shortly after 10:00. We were on board the Summit before 11:00 with a mimosa in hand. Embarkation was very easy. All of the crew from Captain Alex down were the friendliest we have encountered on a cruise. Our cabin 8147 was a veranda room and perfect for two people. Our room steward Jesus was awesome! The staff at Rendevous on Deck 4 and at the Sunset Bar on Deck 10 were awesome, as well. We did not eat at any of the specialty restaurants so can't comment on those. We were disappointed in the quality of the food in the MDR until the last two nights. It was good but not as good as it could have been. Ocean View Cafe was really good. We could always find something we wanted for lunch. Bermuda was stunning and the residents were friendly and helpful. Horseshoe Bay was the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. On Wednesday we took the ferry to St. George and took a walking tour then walked around on our own. The walking tour was amazing and gave us a good idea of what we wanted to go back and see on our own. The walk to Fort Saint Catherine was long, but well worth the walk. After lunch at Wahoos we took a cab to The Swizzle Inn for a rum swizzle then took the pink bus to Hamilton. We spent the day Thursday at Horseshoe Bay. It was absolutely beautiful! That evening we took a sunset cruise on the Restless Native. Learned a lot about Bermuda and saw an amazing sunset. We spent our sea days either on Deck 12 or on our balcony. We didn't see any shows as they were at 7:00 and 9:00 and we ate dinner at 8:00. The size of the ship was perfect for me. I don't like the idea of a bigger ship. Disembarkation on Sunday was a breeze. As concierge class we were able to go to the Revelations Lounge and disembark from there with the Concierge getting the elevators for us. This was our first cruise on Celebrity and it won't be our last!
