We had a great time on the Norwegian Epic. We boarded in Barcelona, where it was a bit hectic to start but we soon got through the queues and onto the ship by about 11.30am.

Our room was ready by about 1.30 so plenty of time to explore the ship and get our bearings before getting into our family balcony suite. The suite was a decent size and the balcony a great addition to watch the ship arriving into port in the mornings. Marvin outer housekeeper kept the room in great shape for the week and entertained our children with an array of towel art every night.

We were on the unlimited beverage package which I have to say is well worth the money and was actually included in our booking for free along with $200 credit. Lots of premium drinks included, grey goose, Jack Daniels, Tanquerey, Bombay Sapphire etc. In fact anything under $15. We bought the soda package for our kids but in all honesty they drank most of the time from the self service drinks stations on the pool deck.

Cabin Review

Family Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin M4

The cabin was lovely. Very modern design with sweeping curves around the walls, giving the feeling that the room is actually bigger than it is. The shower and toilet both have opaque glass screens and are seperated for the living area by a curtain to keep the privacy.

I would say that the room is in need of more power points. Luckily we took a 4 way USB charger which was priceless with all the phones, iPads etc that needed charging every night. Without it we would have struggled.

There was a double bed which had a great mattress and the settee doubled into a lower bunk. The top bunk lowered from the ceiling and was a great space saving design.

The balcony was bigger than anticipated and all four of us could easily stand out there.

There were tea making facilities and a mini fridge which was filled but was not included in our beverage package.
