It has been quite a few years since we have been on a cruise and things have definitely changed. We chose to have our room taken care of in the evening which used to be twice a day, but it was ok. We would spend the day out, come back and shower, go out for the evening and when we came back, the room was cleaned and turned down... we could leave a note and a tip and items were in the frige or beer on ice. The ship was clean and everyone was friendly. Dining staff was AWESOME! Great folks! The excursions were great, we didn't do one on Half Moon Cay but it was super relaxing anyway... get the Fast to the Fun if you can, you get the tenders sooner! The St. John Catamaran on the Adventuress was great, the snorkeling was ok but the waters were beautiful and the beach clean! The crew was wonderful! San Juan was hot and steamy but folks were friendly! La Casa En La Playa was fantastic, a secluded beach, with Mama Gelen was great, friendly, fun, and even a marriage proposal while we were there! I can't say enough!

Now for the downers... First, the airport check in is confusing. Second, the embarkation was frustrating and no one seemed to know what was going on, found out later that the ship got in late because the previous cruise was delayed due to one of the Islands being a bit of a pain. I had made up my mind prior to getting on the ship that I would NEVER sail on Carnival again...BUT, they did so much to make everything better... I spoke to Jason the Director of Hotels who was on the ship, and because of him and the wonderful staff on the ship, I will definitely go back on Carnival again! They have redeemed themselves in my eyes. Thank you dining staff: Joseph, I Wayan, and Nyaman (I think that was the spelling), I Mande our Steward, Jason from Hotel regulations, and all of the others... you were more than I could have hoped for!
