I have been on 4 different cruise ships and I picked Freedom of the Seas because of my children and the departure date. It looked like it was packed with fun for both to enjoy. My son is 16 years old and had an amazing time with his peers, he joined teenagers his age and they bonded quickly, they are still in contact on a social media site. I would see him at breakfast, dinner and some excursions, other than that he was with his friends, that's what happens at that age! They also seemed to have a hard time with their curfew, which was 11pm in the cabin.

My daughter is 8 years old and had a birthday while on the ship also. She had an amazing time too. She usually likes to stay with my husband and I and this time we would go get her at the kids club and she would want to stay!

The food was excellent, desserts not so much, but I'm not a dessert person so it was okay for me. My daughter liked the Jello and often had that.
