My husband and i (both 62) and our 32 year old daughter and son-in law just finished a 3 night cruise on the Disney Dream.

Our last 3 night cruise was back in 2002 and i hadn't planned on ever doing another cruise THAT short!!

However, our daughter really wanted to experience one of Disney's larger ships (she'd only been on Disney's two smaller ships, the Wonder and the Magic), and 3 nights was all that we could fit into our schedule this year.

Castaway Cay

Castaway Cay is Disney's beautiful private island.

However, since we had such a short time on this cruise to enjoy the ship, we decided to only go ashore for a bike ride and to eat lunch at the adult beach.

Before leaving the ship for the island, we spent an hour riding the Disney Dream's awesome water slide, the Aquaduck.

We figured with most people off the ship, we'd have the opportunity to experience the slide with a much shorter line.

And we were right. We were able to ride the slide about 6 times, before we dressed and headed ashore.

We rented bikes and rode the bike path to the lookout. It was a lovely enjoyable, relaxing ride.

We then rode our bikes to the adult beach, where we had a wonderful lunch at the adult barbeque. If you don't have kids, definitely spend your day at the adult beach. Perfect quiet. Just lovely.

After lunch, we rode out bikes back to the bike rental at the family beach, then took the tram back to the ship for more adults only games and entertainment!

a perfect day!
