Our journey began in the charming city of Budapest. We thoroughly enjoyed being in the old city in the evening when the lights turned it into a magical scene. This was just the start of a beautiful trip.

We had been warmly welcomed at the airport by the Viking staff. The same courtesy was extended on our entire voyage by all of Viking's people whether it was in the restaurants or elsewhere on the Modi. All of our questions were answered in a gracious manner. These people helped to make our tour a very pleasant experience.

The charm of the European cities on The Grand European Tour made history come alive for us. We enjoyed visiting the well preserved palaces and churches that are characteristic of this area. Strolling through the cobblestone cities and sampling the pastries was fun. Read more
