Book your own transport. It took well over an hour AFTER we had gotten thru customs and immigration control before the bus arrived. Then the bus stopped at two other Terminals in Heathrow to pick up passengers. At $130 per person one-way, you can arrange a private van or limo that would be more comfortable, less expensive and reliable. Believe Oceania may want to seek another transport contractor at LHR. On-board ship entertainment was sub-par, even for Oceania. Liked the 12 dancers/singers in the production shows but other entertainers were average at best. Cabin attendant (Mikolina) was excellent and arranged to provide bath towels with more nap on them. Butler gave the impression that pre-paid gratuities were not sufficient. He did provide good service. Ate in all four specialty restaurants at prearranged tables for 8 with fine experience in each one. Malbec wine that I had ordered on 5 nights was unavailable about three days prior to the cruise ending. This shouldn't happen. Packets of cocoa were unavailable on the ship (including the Executive Lounge) about half-way thru the cruise.
Ordered full breakfast in the room most every morning and found that the food arrived on time and was tasty. Tray cleared from room within an hour. Like the space provided in a PH and storage was more than ample. Enjoyed the Executive Lounge on Deck 11.
Took a taxi for a 4-hour trip to the south from Newcastle. Thoroughly enjoyed the personal touch that Tom, our driver, provided.
Met family in Edinburgh for lunch and afternoon meeting. Weather was bad but meeting was warm and friendly.
Four of us took a private tour of Loch Lomand and Lock Long plus Castle. Driver/guide was Jimmy Douglas who gave a good tour. Liked the personal touch.
This was our fifth trip to Dublin. Took a taxi to city centre and rode the hop on/hop off bus. Lots of traffic but a good look at the city. Not especially exciting.
Did not take a tour in this city. Went into town.
