A friend chose the cruise but dropped out at the last minute because of a family death. I decided to still go, alone. Not great for single people, I found.

I also found that there were too many activities available. It was almost frenetic and none was done really well. Take the food as an analogy. The cooks tried to produce an 'international menu'. However, the result was that nothing was done particularly well The Yorkshire pudding with the roast beef was overdone and dry, the rice paper roles were bland and were served without sauce. The Thai beef salad had too much meat, not enough chilli or vegetables and no Coriander - resulting in something bland and ordinary that tasted nothing like the real thing. The pasta dishes were made with tomato paste, not fresh tomatoes. And so on and so on. Extending to other things - the magic show was old fashioned. The movies shown only came from Hollywood - many second or third rate. Lifts were slow. Bathrooms were exceptionally tiny. There were not enough hangers with clips, etc, etc. But worst of all was the high cost of wifi, the poor download times and the difficulty getting any phone reception.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin small but fine. Balcony two narrow. Beds were good.
