Cabin: Ocean View Stateroom

Though we are cruising on the Oasis in early October, we jumped on this quick 4 night cruise to Nassau and Coco Cay to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and to watch the eclipse from Port Canaveral. We had great service, great food, and great company. We opted to attend the Chef's Table on the night of our anniversary and dined with 6 other people who were delightful. Our table mates in the MDR were equally fun and informative as were the folks that we sat with at the Top Tier event. We have been to Nassau and Coco before, so we opted to do a walking tour of Nassau and simply lounged on a shady part of the beach in Coco Cay. My husband and I agree that we would do this route again. Our cabin was 8578 and classified as an obstructed ocean view cabin. The bottom of the life raft is in view of our window, but we had no problems seeing the water or shore, etc. I have read some recent reviews of those who were disappointed in the Majesty, but for the size and price, I think that they do an amazing job. Yes the cabins are smaller. Yes the TVs are smaller. Yes there are fewer glitzy things about the ship, but we love the experience of cruising and were happy to have chosen this cruise.

Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin I

As mentioned above, our cabin view was technically "obstructed", but we had no problem seeing the water, weather, or shore. The bottom of a life raft was in sight, but we were not unhappy with the view. The cabin is very narrow, so that was the biggest compromise that we made.
