Review for the Western Caribbean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

My wife and I went on this cruise for our anniversary. We had never been on Norwegian so we decided to give them a try. We picked the Epic for its size and for the destinations. The check in was quick and painless, probably less than an hour and we were on the ship. We had already pre-booked everything, so we were ready to enjoy our first day. The ship is beautiful and well laid out, until you go to the top deck. Unfortunately there are no good vantage points to see out, unless you are in a suite. Very poor planning. We like to be able to see the ports and what is cumming up, not on this ship. The room was a bad joke we had to endure for the whole cruise. I mean really, who wants the toilet behind a thin piece of frosted glass just a few feet from the bed? you could hear, and even worse, smell everything that was going on. The shower was the same thing, just not the smell. We were looking forward to eating dinner in the main dinning room. On our past cruises dinner was always a fantastic experience. Once again not on the Epic. I mean don't get me wrong, the food was not bad, just not what we have come to expect from cruise food. The buffet was really the same, good food but not great. The only great food we had was the brazilian BBQ. It was the best food I have ever eaten on a cruise ship by far. Unfortunately that was only one meal. We were on vacation, we did have a good week, much better than going to work. This ship was just a let down compared to our past cruises.
