We booked this ship to experience better amenities, dining and services for our family (with young children). The few positives: efficient boarding, 150 Central park exquisite food/service.
Negatives: Overall horrible customer service, especially at specialty dining (Chops/Izumi) with uncuttable meats, bland sushi and noncaring waiters. We did not even care to use the pools, since there were at least 30 people in each pool throughout the day. The water in the pools was grey/murky and only was clear on port days. Lines for the activities like rock wall, sport court and golf were long and were often closed, even with peak demand. This made waiting with younger kids prohibitive and after the second day did not even bother going to these places, especially in 90+degree heat/humidity.
Windjammer buffet was ok until the "caribbean night" where in something like the caribbean stew a leftover habanero/ghost pepper was left that turned my mouth/lips on fire for at least 15 minutes. Lemonade, bread, french fries and desserts could not tap down the burning from this experience. (BTW I eat jalapenos all the time with no problems)
Spacious cabin but it already was showing signs of age, like having tattered and broken curtains that did not close, with the workers having to knock on the door and fix it themselves at night due to light to the bridge. Stinky bathroom but the shower was OK. Bed quality was good and just right for comfort. This room is very convenient for larger familiies.
Beach even close to downtown was nice but the beach attendants were annoying trying to entice you to rent beach chairs at their portion of the beach.
Shops were ok but we only ventured a short ways in old town and then went back to the ship after only a couple hours.
