We choose Siversea because of their reputation as a luxury cruise line and the itinerary of this 12 day cruise from Venice to Monte Carlo. Our travel agent also recommended Silver Sea. This is only our second cruise. We sailed on Crystal Serenity to Alaska last July and were very satisfied. Overall we were very satisfied with Silver Sea and Silver Muse. Our butler and cabin maid were outstanding. We have nothing but praise for all of the staff. They were very friendly and accomadating. The ship is quite contemporary and well appointed with nice public areas. The food overall was very good. The breakfast and lunch buffet in La Terrazza was always very good. Great variety and presentation. There is no open dining which was our biggest complaint along with most people we met and spoke with. We had dinner reservations in advance thanks to our travel agent but many people did not which was an issue. We were told they will be changing this in October. Also the dress code of formal for La Dame and Atlantde could be relaxed especially during warm weather cruises. Even the informal dress code where men are expected to wear a coat could be dropped. Our favorite restaurants were Kaiseki, La Dame, Indochine and La Terrazza. Our least favorite was Silver Note. Very different menu offerings. The staff refers to it as funky. We call it don't waste your time. You can always eat what ever you choose in your cabin or have a pizza which is very good overlooking the pool. One other short coming is the very small laundry room on every deck. The prices to have the ship do laundry are quite pricey so many people choose to do their own light laundry. The self use laundry is very inadequate and always in use and very hard to use. We only had one hour each of Wi Fi every day for free. Otherwise it cost $25 a day. We felt on a luxury cruise like this that this was a joke for a luxury cruise. Cabins on the upper levals had free unlimited Wi Fi. The smaller passenger ship is very nice. We probably would not choose Silver Sea for our next cruise. There are many other luxury cruise choices.

We were very pleased with the cabin. The decor and storage was very good. Also the bathroom with a separate shower was very well appointed. The only negative was the announcements could not be heard in your cabin you had to go into the hall to hear them. Very poor for a brand new ship. This needs to be corrected.
