We chose this cruise because of the itinery which allowed for an overnight in Dubrovnik and a further sea day later on. The ship had had a refit in May and you could see new carpet in most areas and most public areas looked great - not sure what other reviewers mean by tired as we didn;t notice this in public areas. Our cabin was a bit tired and there was rust on the balcony but otherwise the cabin was fine. Service was excellent in all areas -again, was expecting this to be worse than our previous Celebrity cruises from some reviews - but we had good, fast service and in all lounges the areas were well attended e.g. in Reflections from 10pm waiters arrived to serve during the bands and you were turning them down they circulated so often.

Main dining room - generally good food - some strange choices on some nights but we looked at the menu then decided to eat elsewhere if nothing appealed. Our waiter (Clint) and helper (Yanti) were great as was the sommelier too. The Ocean View buffet is now great in the evening and offers a really high quality alternative to the MDR. The Greek nights were superb - three large Greek joints of meat and other Greek meals on offer. On the last day there was a great dessert display with croque en bouche and baked alaskas etc (photo). Qsine was good but they need to change some meal choices as we had been before 2 years ago and little seem to have changed. The ipad concept is now wearing thin too - no longer innovative. They need to lose the Sushi on 5 and change to a Tempanyaki that many other cruise companies have or have a "Lawn Grill" type restaurant from the larger ships.

The ports were great. The excursions well organised as always. No issues with guides - all excellent, as has been our previous experience. Read more
