This cruise was for 20 days - 2 back to back cruises (Barcelona to Barcelona). This was our 3rd Seabourn cruise (total 44 days) and the first on the Encore which has 150 more guests. We were a bit worried with some of the negative comments we had read but didn't need to be, the cruise exceeded our expectations.

Apart from the area around the pool deck (which was not an issue for us as we do not use it often), the ship felt much the same as our previous cruises on the Odyssey and the Quest, it was never crowded for us and the extra guests were not noticed.

As expected for a new ship, the furnishings were in perfect condition and we thought they were very tastefully done. We love the cabin layout and the extra power points were welcomed and in perfect locations.

Cabin Review

Veranda Suite

Cabin V5

Our cabin was well laid out. The bathroom is brighter than the "O" class ships and very functional. The walk-in-robe is fabulous. Initially, we did not have enough hangers but a call to guest services, and we had the extra hangers bought to our room swiftly.

The cabin is slightly narrower and longer than our previous cruises on the Seabourn Quest and the Odyssey but we thought this was an advantage. The longer cabin gave the impression of more space and a longer couch in the living area of the cabin.

There are also more electrical outlets and there are well placed for plugging in camera and phone/tablet for battery charging.

We are very happy with the Seabourn cabins.
