Sail Date: Aug 2017

Having sailed with three different companies (Carnival and Princess previously). I found the P and O Pacific Explorer to be a decent ship overall. It has some plumbing issues, which does taint the experience at times. I never had any issues with my toilet blocking, but I did here of others who had. The annoying aspect was having the public toilets blocked on many occasions alongside experiencing some unpleasant smells outside on occasions. That being said, it was overall a pleasant experience.

Although the staff were not as friendly as I have experienced on the other cruise lines, they were not unpleasant. The decor of the ship was amazing in many ways due to the recent refurbishment. The Bonded Bar and Blue Room (bar/nightclub) were the stand out. A big hi and many thanks to Denzel in the bonded bar for his exceptional service and pleasant demeanour. :)

We experienced a stormy night on the first night and she was rocking around a lot. The Captain did an excellent job to navigate the ship through this however. He was very professional and informative throughout the entire cruise. A credit to him and his team.
