This is our review for the Radiance of the Seas sailing out of Vancouver on a 7 day Inside Passage. There were 4 of us travelling together - myself and husband, and my in-laws. No children accompanied us on this cruise. My review is a bit long, so get comfortable! That being said, here's what we experienced:

EMBARKATION

We got on in Vancouver, BC (our hometown!) and arrived at Ballantyne Pier at 11:30 am. We had about 5 lines to get through, and each one moved very quickly. We went through baggage drop-off, scanners, check-in, customs, and finally the mug shot of you for your sea-pass card. After getting our seapass and cabin assignment, we went up the long escalator to the waiting area for our number to be called. The area had washrooms and coffee, water, cookies and sandwiches to help pass the time. We didn't wait long however, only about 20 minutes. We were then called to show picture ID, and get a mug shot for ship security, and then we were off! We were pleasantly surprised at how little we had to wait. Also, be sure to pick up the Alaska coupon books - they are on stands as you walk into the pier building. Lots of shopping info and coupons!
