The land tours, various activities, on-board amenities, along with fresh, locally inspired meals made for a pleasurable experience. The staff was genuinely friendly and eager to assist. The cruise director was attentive, responsive, and very clear when addressing and resolving issues. I enjoyed the bicycles on two days and was provided very kind assistance adjusting the safety helmet. The 22-mile bike ride through Austria was awe inspiring, traveling through small villages and a multitude of vineyards in the wine region. The daily information talk was well presented to the passengers. The dining had a good selection and was of high quality. All of the transfers, departures, etc, occurred on time, literally to the minute. The Viennese concert was a highlight; it was most entertaining. I was surprised by the amount of locks we had to go through as we traveled up river, some of which kept me up one night, but that is beyond anyone's control. I would definitely go again.
The room size was double that of a regular room, and I enjoyed the extra space. There was plenty of places to store my clothing and personal belongings. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and well organized. The mini-bar was refreshed daily, with plenty of complimentary still and sparkling water, which I appreciated.
Vienna was the best stop, with awe-inspiring architecture, history, and beautiful people The Mozart concert was a memory of a lifetime.
The nighttime cruise was great, as the weather was beautiful with all of the impressive buildings lit up. I enjoyed a bike ride on the Buda side. Didn't take the tour.
The tour guide was great with a delightful sense of humor. He spoke exceptionally good English with barely an accent. The town reminded me of a fairy tale. The palace on the hill wasn't worth the climb, though. No furnishings are in it, and the art collection was minimal, but the history of it was interesting.
