We expected the experience on the Harmony to be similar (maybe a little better) than the Allure ship we sailed two years prior. Although there were a couple more things to do (wet and dry slides for instance), we noticed a lesser experience with corners cut such as quality of food at Windjammer, the amount of live music, and even the bed wasn't comfortable. There were problems with the production electronics that cancelled shows the first three days which made it so we couldn't see all shows that we expected to see. There was also a mix-up in where the wine tasting event was (compared to where it was advertised to be) and we missed this. When there were issues, it seemed that nobody felt the need to apologize for the trouble. The pool area, wait staff, and room attendant were great and the food in the main dining room was also quite good. But, by the time all the the the separate costs were added together, it was pretty expensive for what I feel we received - expected more value for the money spent. Bottom line: we've been Royal Caribbean loyalists, but are now open to looking at other cruise companies.

A little disappointed

Cabin Review

Cabin 7199
Room was nice, although bed wasn't comfortable and neither were the pillows. I think that I would choose a view of the sea if I were to choose again.

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

  • Mayan Ruins
Very interesting history and tour of Mayan ruins in Cozumel jungle. Bus was comfortable and air conditioned and tour guide, Angel, was very attentive to all guests. Topped this off with a chocolate tasting of Mayan Cacao Company. Very nice, but bring your bug spray because the mosquitoes are terrible.

Beautiful sunny day and our teenage son had a get time floating along.

We were surprised at how well we liked this port. Nice, clean beaches, bars and food set-up by RC at no cost (if had drink package). Haitian dancers, band, and jugglers to give a sense of the local culture. Our teenage loved the zip line experience itself and also the view of the island from the mountain. The only disappointment was that we really wanted the RC picture of him zip lining and it couldn't be found in their photo department.
