I wanted to experience what cruising on MSC would be like. Love the ship. Well designed. Three pools so lots of choices. The food in the dining rooms was excellent but I would give the buffet a B- at best. Always go to the back of the dining area when looking for a table. Too many times there were empty food trays in the buffet line. At times they even ran out of cups for coffee in the morning. I think too many passengers wanted to take the cups home as souvenirs. They should go to standard white cups with no logos on them.

Crew was accommodating with any request. We ate one night in the VERY CASUAL steak house. The food was great and the service was even better. We didn't think we had time for dessert so we were going to pass so we could go to a show, but our waiter told us to go to the show and come back for our coffee and dessert. Wow, were we impressed, try that on any of the other cruise lines. The shows are different and I believe you will either love them or hate them. We loved them. Seven different shows over the week. (Plus an extra afternoon show one day which was a 45 minute Opera. Yes you read that right an Opera.) The singers were amazing. The other shows were a cross between Cirque du soleil and comedy. Very unique. They are trying hard to make it in the US market and seem to be improving based on conversations I had with other passengers who had cruised with them before. If you want to experience a bit of foreign flair then this is the cruise line for you.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B2

Cabin was a good size with a sofa instead of one chair. Loved the shower arrangement. They have these glass doors that open in two sections, so when not in use the bathroom has more room and when showering you have more room in the shower. I wish every cruise line would use this system.
