We chose this cruise because we wanted to visit these Baltic ports and we had been with Celebrity before. All of the ports lived up to our expectations except for Fredericia which was okay to stretch your legs but had no real interest to us. The ports of Fredericia, Copenhagen, Tallin and Warnemunde can be comfortably explored on foot (we're both over 65 and had no trouble). We opted for an SPB tour of Stockholm mainly because we had found out that there were 5 other cruise liners in port and we were concerned that local transport would be overloaded. We subsequently heard from others on our ship that they encountered difficulties especially with the Hop on Hop off buses . As for St Petersburg the best way to see the sights is by an organised tour. We again chose SPB who were excellent and much cheaper than Celebrity. We encountered no problems or delays with Russian immigration/customs.
All staff were friendly ,welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. Our balcony stateroom was clean well appointed and well looked after by our steward Arvind.
We ate in the Main Dining room for breakfast and diner and found the food very tasty, a range ofgood choice of menu items. Food well presented and service excellent. The range and quality of food was good in the Ocean View Buffet restaurant but at lunchtime we found there was insufficient seating and it was irksome trying to find somewhere to sit.
Well planned layout, adequate storage and well maintained and cleaned twice a day.
