I just got back from a cruise on the Norwegian Escape and had the best experience ever! Our original itinerary was for the Western Caribbean cruise but due to tropical storm Harvey they had to reroute us to the Eastern Caribbean cruise. At first we were disappointed, but quickly realized & appreciated the fact they made the safest choice for everyone and had beautiful weather for the whole cruise. The staff was amazing, especially our cruise director Tyler. He was kept us laughing the whole time & there was never a boring moment, even on sail days. You MUST at least 1 of the shows in the theater and if you like singing and laughing you have to check out Howl at the moon dueling pianos. The food was by far the best food I have had while on vacation. It didn't matter where you dined, at a restaurant or buffet, it was all delicious. The staff made sure everyone was happy at all times and left you wanting for nothing! My friend and I met the beverage manager, Jose, one night and the next night we received a complimentary bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in our room, with a note hoping we were having a good time & his number in case we needed anything. He also introduced us to a server/bartender Sameer who also made sure we had everything we needed every time he saw us. One night, while eating in Cagney's steakhouse, he saw us sitting and was going to bring over gin & tonics to my friend and I without even asking, until he noticed we chose wine that night. He then made sure our glass was always filled. Check the night activities for themes in case you want to bring clothes for it, but every dining option is casual. Our excursions were great & the transportation to & from the ship was seamless. Norwegian is definitely the way to cruise!
