We could not have asked for a better experience than our Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Holland America Eurodam. We disembarked from Ft. Lauderdale and travelled to Grand Turk, St. Thomas, San Juan, and HAL's private island Half Moon Cay. My husband and I have taken one previous cruise in the Western Caribbean on the Carnival Conquest. We are both 25 years old.

CHECK-IN: The cruise terminal in Fort Lauderdale is about 3 minutes from the Fort Lauderdale airport. Taking a taxi was easy and cheaper than the transfer offered by HAL. Check-in was very quick and easy--seemed much more streamlined than Carnival. I think we were on the boat within 30 minutes of arrival.

CABIN: We stayed in room 7128--an interior cabin. The room was small but cozy and we easily found places to store everything. In addition to the bed, there are two bedside tables with reading lamps, a table that the staff always places room service on and an armless chair. There is a TV and vanity as well in the bedroom. I was surprised that our TV received CNN and a few other channels and also showed various relatively new movies throughout the cruise. I was also surprised by the generous counter space in the bathroom. Closet space was also plentiful.
