When we initially booked, Cuba was not part of the itinerary. But once the route was changed, we were extremely excited for the chance to visit Havana. Overall, the cruise was great. I loved being on the smaller ship, the staff was very friendly, the food was good, and the drinks kept flowing.
If you've been on a cruise before, you know getting on and off the ship can be pretty hectic and your check-in time doesn't seem to matter much. However Norwegian did a pretty good job of allowing us to embark fairly quickly.
After the horrible reviews of the excursions in Cuba, we chose to book our own and we had an awesome time.
Cabin Review
Oceanview Picture Window
We considered getting a balcony but didn't plan on being in the cabin much at all. That was a great decision, we still had great views of the ocean but really didn't have much opportunity to sit on the balcony anyway as we were always on the go. Our steward was excellent and we really had a great time.
