Sail Date: Aug 2017
Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom

We live near Port Canaveral, Florida and chose a four day cruise on the Majesty of the Seas as a quick, summer getaway. We knew in advance that she is an older ship with fewer on-board activities and more low-key entertainment than on the bigger ships (last June we sailed on the Oasis of the Seas; big difference). However, we enjoyed our cruise and will be back on-board to celebrate my husband's birthday in October.

We especially liked our dining room experience and the Viking Crown Lounge.

We opted for My Time Dining in the the Starlight Dining Room and, since we made reservations for the same time every night, had the same excellent servers for all dinners. The meals were consistently good. Although I did not particularly like the sliders, the salmon was great as was the beef tenderloin on formal night.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin SO

The cabin was roomy, with ample storage space and a small refrigerator. There was also good lighting, including reading lights so one of us could read while the other slept. However, as with many older ships, there are not enough outlets to recharge multiple devices. And 120V plugs would not reliably stay plugged in.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

We live near Port Canaveral and love our port!! Royal Caribbean's cruise terminals are modern and the staff is friendly and efficient.
