Cabin: Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom

I chose this cruise because it was leaving from Seattle and going to Glacier Bay National Park. It had a full day of cruising on my birthday.

We have been to Alaska before, a two week cruise where we were running from beginning to end seeing the sights while in port. This was to be the opposite, time spent enjoying the ship and relaxing. That's exactly what I did.

Seattle embarkation was quick and painless. We were in group H, I'd say we had a half hour wait to get on the ship. We arrived at 11 and were on board in our cabin before noon. I was impressed all cabins were ready when we got on board. This isn't the case with the other lines we cruise.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom

Cabin V

This cabin was a handicapped cabin assigned to us as a guarantee. It was larger with a bigger odd shaped balcony. The balcony was a bump out that was protected from the wind. The bathroom was a shower, toilet, sink combination, arranged that way as a roll in shower. The floor got soaked each time we showered. We used our towels to dry the floor. The TV was a big screen on the wall across from the bed. It made viewing the free movies pleasant. There is no sofa in the room, it has a table and 2 chairs. The mattress on the side near the bathroom needs replacement. It is sunk in the middle. We liked being able to spend time on the large balcony without getting wind blown and wet. The view was great.
