Chose this cruise as a warm weather cruise prior to New England in the fall, turns out to be quite hot. The itinerary is one that suited us and we have covered most of the ports before. As a result we have chosen to stay on board and just relax and take advantage of a quiet ship and be by the pool whilst others are on their respective tours.
We last sailed on RSS Voyager in October last year on her voyage prior to her refurbishment. I have to say that our suite, 943, has been beautifully refurbished with all of the dark wood removed and much lighter wall coverings and fabrics being used giving a much more modern feel and a much better use of space throughout the suite.
Compass Rose has been given a superb makeover with new furnishings and fabulous chandeliers. I can safely say that all of the restaurants visited so far have provided excellent friendly service. Of particular note is the new "do it yourself" menu in CR which provides so much choice I could eat there every night.
The recent refurbishments have vastly improved the suite, giving an impression of much more space. Certainly everything is very pleasing to the eye.
