Our room was panoramic o 10th floor below Crows nest.  We liked it.  Our family was on floor 4.  those rooms had some blockings due to life boats.  Room 4110 was worst view.  others were better but 4112 had some slight sewer smell we told them about it too.  
the bigger suite near us had a lot of space but it lacked the big view that we had. their veranda was further away from bed and railing was metal vs glass due to their location.  really get an image of hte view if you spend for higher room cabins.  We loved our panoramic 10th floor basic veranda but the bigger suite folks who showed us their room preferred ours too as did we.

great but the public market is too crowded, find a local farmers market instead

you can really only see it via the ship. there are no excursions.  It was breathtaking!

Glacier Bay

sitka bear, totem park and raptor tour.  Our tour guide was great.  He made the difference.  The quiet walk in the totem park was my favorite, raptor center and their owls by the front desk were second favorite.  The bear park was exceedingly well done for the bears.  this was our best excursion. It gave us time to have lunch after wards and explore the town. We went back to the totem park.  take an early tour if you can as is quieter.

great if you love dogs.  was like a huge golf cart on huge wheels.  hold puppies was awesome.  the kids loved it.  seems we were better off than our other party that did the glacier.  you could take a taxi to the glacier and save money.

warm boat, good spread and good service on the boat.  some local products offered at end of it for sale too.

Rain Forrest Adventures.  I reread the description and it does not tell you that 85% of the time you have wet wet rain. The zodiac is drenched and even with the rain gear, you are soaked.  This is 30 min drive, 30 min boat (plus some time getting a lot of gear on), then soaking wet on the wet seats of zodica, then hiking around the little island slowly (one person almost fell and our party had to go super slow and hold her arm but the guide didnt seem to care much. that elderly person was clearly not well informed of how slick it would be - none of us were!) so hiking when freezing cold.  No wildlife on the island but some slugs.

another cruiser got a DIFFERENT our right off the boat and saw wild bears and otters and paid less.  They were warmer too. We had to run back to the ship and get hot showers!

so the event was 30 min each way in a bus - ie 1 hour in a bus. 1 hour on a wet open zodica in rain and wind (and note 85% of days are a lot of rain here), then short super slow hike, then some hot cocoa and coffee and smoked salmon, and ride back so 2 hours is spent in car or open freezing boat. 

boat captain very very nice and feel bad to write this but if you spend all this money and time to get here, you should be better informed of the adventure.  If you like to be wet and in the rain, great but otherwise if not pick something else.  And remember you are then stuck wet and cold for 1.5 + hours after the first wet boat ride. 

I heard the Misty Fjords were also a fail as the boat windows fogged up and you couldn't see anything. Plus visibility in ketchikan is typically impaired with the bad weather.  Research the typical day weather and understand how much it could impact your activity.  We would have much rather done a local shore one off the boat where you could stay DRY (or drier as wet cushioned seats got us soaked to the skin)

pretty, good timing, evening, nice way to end the cruise.

rooms were good in panaroamic.they told me as i was boarding the only way to use a pool was to buy a package but that turned out to be not true.
