We chose the Danube cruise because we wanted to see the Christmas markets. Everything about the cruise was better than we expected. Viking has a good attention to the little details that can make or break a cruise. They included shore excursions on their own buses and all the guides were excellent. The food was great. They even escorted us to the airport in Budapest for the trip home and made sure we were on the correct line. The ship was excellent too. I can't think of anything to complain about and we've been on 33 ocean cruises before.

The ports were well chosen and the shore extensions were well run. Service was better than average.

Would we go again? Of course. River cruising turned out to be much better than we expected. It's different from ocean cruising with thousands of people and Las Vegas style entertainment but we didn't miss any of it.
