I chose this cruise because I had not been to the Baltic region previously and I had also enjoyed a prior Princess Cruise from Santiago (Chile) to Rio de Janerio (Brazil).
Embarkation and Disembarkation in Copenhagen was very easy. I used Bus 27 between Osterport Station and Oceankaj both ways. A note for future travellers is to ensure that you have Danish currency for the bus driver. The bus driver will not accept credit cards or foreign money. The cost of the bus (25 or 27) between Osterport station and the pier is DKK 24 (two zones) and between the pier and the station and then onto the airport is DKK 36 (three zones). The cost using public transportation is about 10% of the cost of using the Princess transfer. My transfer from Oceankaj pier to the airport using public transport was about one hour which included an unscheduled wait at Copenhagen Central Station while a train driver was found!
I used public transport and/or walking for my independent visits to Copenhagen (bus 25 or 27), Oslo (walk), Warnemunde (train), Tallinn (walk) and Helsinki (tram 9 or 6T about 0.8 km walk from the berth). Warnemunde and Helsinki both use the euro for currency. I used the internet and Rick Steven's book to identity sites that I wanted see in each city and to work out how to get there.
Dolphin deck is located just above the lifeboats. There was no obstruction looking out, forward or aft. but looking directly down from the balcony all that could be seen was the roof of the lifeboat. I was a solo passenger, and the stateroom was very adequate.
When I booked I chose a Guarantee obstructed view balcony (BY) and was pleasantly surprised to be allocated a deluxe balcony about a week before departure.
