We chose this cruise for an annual Commodore's Cruise with our yacht club. 65 members and plenty of fun. Easy transportation to Long Beach Harbor for embarkation since we all reside within an hour commute. The Carnival Cruise Ships are all about value! 3,000 passenger cruises are affordable but you pay a price for crowds and and less quality! Our stateroom was Cabin 4180. Unobstructed, view balcony room. Balcony accommodated a cocktail table & 2 chairs. Balcony was pleasant but balcony doors are heavy and do bang shut quite loudly. Lots of closet space but king bed is definitely more narrow & not as long as CA King. The entire staff provided excellent customer service, mostly in dining & entertainment much more than guest services. We tried to get some info for on shore excursions & received little service so we did our own excursions on shore. Although we pre-paid for a cell service plan, our cell phones only worked occasionally at ports & had to retrieve emails only at ports. The app you download for the ship to keep in contact with friends rarely worked. I hate to give such a wonderful dining crew such a bad food score. The food in general at buffets and kiosks were a C-D. The Bacchus main dining room scores a C. The steak house was a bit better but costs an additional $35/pp to dine. The Chef's dinner was by far the best experience with a B score. Wine choice - red or white! The shows, comedian, piano bars, entertainment were excellent! Get to the comedy store early as it is standing room only! If you are a professional cruiser and accustomed to fine wine & dining, you will opt out for a more luxurious offering. But where else can you go for a week, all inclusive (yes we did the tip & drink package) for such a reasonable price! That's what you get...Value!
