We took our family with us to celebrate our 50th anniversary. The staterooms (and us) were well cared for, the dining room personnel and food amazing, and the entertaining stage shows slick, well tuned, and upbeat. The steak house was tops for our anniversary dinner with the staff going out of their way to make it so. The staff throughout the ship is professional and thoughtful and maintained high standards from the spilled milk in the middle of the table, the dropped piece of paper on the stairs, and the disinfecting of the handrails along the hall. The highlight for our grand-kids was the age appropriate clubs they were enrolled in. Given the choice between a talk on shopping or the" club" they were out of there and fast learned the fastest way to get to those kid-friendly spots and later talked about their leaders there and the activities they got to do. Another highlight was the attention the cruise director Lee gave our family as well as hundreds of guests he encountered on his busy days. He carries out his job as an excellent ambassador for Carnival and the ship he proudly serves on. Several in our party said they would choose to go on another cruise in the future if they knew Lee was at the helm. My only complaint was a small matter for most--they only have one size of bed pillow. If you have any special requirement it is best for you to bring your own pillow from home. We booked our excursions through Costco and they were excellent as well. Our first time with Carnival was great, and we hope it isn't the last!
Adequate on all accounts--a good place to sleep and shower, who can ask for anything more?
