Cabin: Balcony

This cruise was chosen for the ports not the ship. Because it is so intense with port visits Princess does not devote anything extra to the cruising experience. Only take this cruise for the ports. Cabin seemed to be smaller than other balcony cabins but it was fine for two people. Entertainment was marginal with a couple of exceptions, great Beatles tribute band.

The tours we booked ourselves were better than those who booked through Princess, cheaper as well. Do NOT let them scare you with the "we won't wait for you threat". All the tour companies work very hard to assure that you are back with time to spare. The ship did wait for people in several ports that were just being late, not on a Princess tour.

They could have been much more helpful for disembarkation in Russia. Our tour with KURS was great and so much cheaper than Princess. We ended up with a private tour for less than a big bus tour with Princess. Sign up for a tour that guarantees smaller groups, Princess packs those big buses. Hop on hop off buses worked great in Oslo and Helsinki.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BB

The balcony cabin was standard issue, seemed to be a little smaller than some other cruises. We had a great steward though, very friendly and helpful.

Port Reviews

Oslo

Used hop on hop off bus, rode the whole route once and then got off at the stops we wanted to see.

Tallinn

Great walking town, just take the shuttle. The buses can't get down the streets so they drop you off to walk and you paid for a tour???

Helsinki

Hop on hop off bus worked just fine, got to all the places we wanted to go.
