This was our first river cruise though we have done many ocean ones. River cruising is a very different experience. We loved it! Ports were wonderful, our tour director, Dan, was amazing. So knowledgeable. The included excursions were all good and included headsets, which is a plus.

Food on the ship was excellent. We really enjoyed the smaller ship, as oppposed Tom a cruise ship, and talking with the very accessible staff.

One thing that is very different on this type of trip is the entertainment...or lack of. They did have an onboard pianist for the evenings, but he needed to be more of an entertainer instead of just a classical pianist. He was an excellent pianist but you can't dance to that kind of music. They did bring on a few local musicians here and there and they were very good but what they need is a very versatile pianist who sings well and is personable...like the big ships do in their piano bars.
