We picked this cruise (Amsterdam to Budapest) because we felt we should take a longer cruise if we're going to fly all the way from the West Coast to Europe. It's beautiful ship, the cabin was wonderful (perhaps my favorite of any cruise we've been on), and the service was outstanding. Our only complaint was the dinner. First, we would prefer an earlier dining time. Beyond that, it sometimes took a long time to get our meal, it's very noisy and we felt the servers were pushing that evening's "special" too hard, almost trying to intimidate us into ordering it (our only service-related complaint). After the first couple of nights, our four traveling companions ended up having dinner in the Aquavit. Our menu selection was more limited, but we found the dinner there to be more relaxing. That said, the food on the ship was generally very good. I wouldn't rule out another Viking cruise.
We upgraded to an unused balcony cabin on the top level when we boarded the ship. I don't remember the #, and because of the last minute change, it's not on any of the paperwork we have. Anyway, I loved the cabin. While small, the space is used very efficiently. Comfortable bed and pillows. Nice shower. Only complaint was the lack of a sheet under the comforter when we boarded, which our cabin steward quickly attended to.
