I chose this cruise because it repeated some places I had been with some new places such as Colmar, Strausborg, and Basel. The service was excellent, the food delicious, and the excursions expertly led by local guides. Local cuisine was provided as were cultural lectures but there should have been more cultural information.

The excursions were excellent in Kinderdjik, Cologne, Colmar Pocket, Strausborg, and Speyer. All led by local guides with lots of knowledge. A river cruise is excellent for getting right off of the ship and walking into the town center. Shopping time was provided most days. Optional tours also available. Take the Colmar Pocket tour--good World War II history.

The servers were patient, efficient, and courteous. Wine was good with lunch and dinner. Full bar also available. Harris the bartender was excellent. Read more
