There were 25 in our group sailing out of New Orleans on Saturday, October 3rd. It was a great cruise. Of course, it must be said that it will be what you make it.
We always enjoy sailing out of New Orleans. Very convenient for us to drive down from Memphis. We always park our cars with Machu Pichu Tours. Angel (owner) takes good care of us and our cars and gets us safely to the boat and picks up back up on time to take us back to our cars.
The ship is one of Carnival's smaller ships, but very nice. Staff is very cordial. Cabins are kept very clean. It's an older ship. But it is very casual and that makes for a nice relaxed trip. The food is good; much better than it used to be on Carnival. And there are always plenty of choices. If you can't find what you like in the dining room, there are plenty of other choices.
Inside cabins are nice because you can sleep great in them. Less movement. Stays dark. On a short cruise like this, we always choose an inside cabin. However, on cruises to Alaska, Virgin Islands, Hawaii, etc. we would definitely choose a cabin with a balcony. Only way to go.
