I would like to start off with I don't really write reviews, just don't have the time and think alot of the "stellar" reviews are fake. But with my experience on this cruise I thought that it would be helpful to share. Also the rating of this this cruise line is compared to the other river cruise lines that I have been on. I know that there was good intent but they missed the mark by a mile ......

While the ship appeared to be new. Out of the two staterooms that we had both of them had problems. One stateroom had blinking lights. The other you could not control the TV or music. Both problems were brought to the attention of the crew on the first day but were never fixed. The ship had a "vibration" but only on the starboard side at night which was a distraction when sleeping . The rear of the ship had a sewage smell during the entire cruise so much so that the rear lounge was almost unusable. I don't know how people ate there for the captains table dinners. Would of liked to dine there but it was bad.

Also there was too much time on the ship with nothing to do. On the day to Cologne the ship had engine problems so we had a whole Hour and 45 minutes at the port. then we had to take a bus ride up river to meet the ship and when we arrived there before the ship, we were all standing there for 45 mins along the river. Some days we would leave ports early 12:45pm and be stuck on the ship for the rest of the day or we would get to ports late 1:00pm and depart by 6:15pm . When we arrived at Rudesheim we stayed there to 1:45am But after 6:00pm the town was DEAD.. it only has 8,000 residents, big waste of time. The next day we arrived at Mannheim/Heidelberg at 1:00 pm( wasted the morning on the ship ) and had to leave by 6:15 pm. This was a nice city, very large, but could not see enough of it . Our last day in Breisach, we were rushed again. A 45 min bus drive to get to Frieburg so that we could stay for 40 mins. we had to be back on the ship in the early afternoon so that we could race to Basel to be there by 9:00pm and sleep in the port of our departure. I have to say it was very poor planning. To spend time on the ship should be an option not a requirement.
