Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

I traveled on Allure of the Seas with my boyfriend, brother and his girlfriend and parents. We had an amazing vacation! The ship is absolutely magnificent. Even though it is large with tons of passengers, it never felt crowded because everyone was spread out. I had a balcony cabin on Deck 7 overlooking the water. The cabin was spacious and our room attendant was amazing. As for dining, I highly recommend the specialty dining. We went to Chops Grille twice and 150 Central Park. They both exceeded my expectations. We also went to Sabor which was so yummy! They have the best guacomole. We frequented the Windjammer for lunch and Park Cafe in central park. Both had lots of options to choose from and I was pleased with the food overall. The only food I did not like was the main dining room American Icon. We went there once for breakfast and twice for dinner. The pasta sauce tasted like it was from a can and my family had swordfish that literally was not edible. The wait staff seemed a little scattered and flustered with the amount of people that were coming in and out and it felt rushed. Other than the main dining room, the rest of the restaurants and dining were great! As for entertainment, Mamma Mia was unreal! I truly felt it was better than the Broadway production. Also, Oceanaria and the Ice Games show were incredible. In Oceanaria, I couldn't believe how high divers were jumping and Ice Games was so clever. We participated in lots of trivia games too and all were run smoothly. I received a Swedish massage at the Spa and it was lovely. As for shore excursions, we did Ziplining in Labadee and it was so much fun!! Ran very smoothly. In Jamaica, I just went to Margaritaville and shopped the shops by the port. In Mexico, we had a bad experience with the Shore Excursion Team where we signed up for Dune Buggy and Snorkel tour and were the first people in line and told them we could not drive a stick shift, and an hour and a half later when we finally walked over to the buggy's, they told us there were not any automatic's left. They didn't seem to care at all and basically told us we were out of options because they overbooked, so instead we rented our own car and drove around the coast to a super fun tiki bar and beach and had our own private tequila tastings. Wen we got back on the ship, the guest services attendant was super helpful and was able to refund us our money for the excursion without question! Some of my favorite spots on the ship include the rising tide bar and the Solarium. The main pools were not too crowded and we were always able to find seats, but it was nice to go to the adult's only area at the front of the ship. The Champagne & Martini Bar and Vintages Wine bar are hidden gems that are not too crowded! We had the drink package and it was well worth it. The service as a whole on the ship was amazing and we had a wonderful vacation!
