We wanted to see Eastern Europe. The cruise was the most pleasant way to visit that part of Europe. Given the flexible departure/return airline dates we were able to explore both the Vienna/Salzburg area before the cruise and all of Romania after the cruise.

Embarcation and disembarkation from the ship was easy. However, the staff at the Hilton Bucharest, were surly and less than helpful. All the shore excursions were great with the exception of Belgrade. It was less than I had expected, however it was a rainy day.

The food onboard was excellent, but at breakfast, unless you got there early the buffet was a bit picked over.
