WE chose to go on this cruise because both my wife and I are interested in history/ architecture. I am particularly interested in Roman ruins. We experience lots of them in every site where we docked. We liked the fact that the ship docked right in the middle of every town. Very convenient to get around.

The crew, all the way from Stephen, our director to Joanna, who cleaned our room were fantastic. Very aware of our every need. The included tours were incredible because of the the cathedrals, the architecture, the monuments, the Mediaeval ruins, but particularly because of the excellent guides. The fact that the guides were from the local area made their commentary personal, believable and interesting.

The Viking Skirnir is a ship that is set up to make the trip very enjoyable: small things like the crew greeted us at the end of a tour with a little schnapps or snack and of course a wet towel; meals were very delicious because of the variety but also because our chef prepared dishes from the local area; the waiting staff was attentive to your every need.

Just enough space to store our luggage, comfortable beds, good view, excellent cleaning staff, excellent showers compared to some European hotels.
