I had read some bad reviews and was quite anxious about this cruise but I shouldn't of worried as everything was brilliant! We have cruised once before on the Thompson Majesty, Sinfonia was by far superior.

We landed at Venice airport and within the hour we were checked in, it may have helped that we had a private transfer though. Check in was brought forward to 11.30am from 1.30pm so we were having our first drinks and lunch at 12.00 noon! Our balcony rooms were supposed to be ready for 3pm but were actually ready for 2.15pm….and cases waiting outside. Great stuff. The cabin itself was fine, everything you need. We kept our water bottles on the mini fridge. We had a cabin next door to our friends and asked our cabin steward to open the dividing door so that both our balconies joined, not a problem.

We had the all inclusive drinks package which worked out at £20pp per day - this is well worth the money if you like a drink. We found that local spirits were used in cocktails but branded spirits were available at no extra cost. We had several brandy coffees and Baileys coffees after dinner. Note: order your coffee and spirit separately or they will charge you if you just ask for brandy coffee! We definitely had our monies worth from the drinks package every day! If you are buying drinks as and when you want them, there is also an extra 15% added to each drink and most are around €6.50 each!
