I always wanted to go on a river cruise in Germany so I decided to treat myself to one for my 80th birthday. I chose this one because I wanted to see Vienna. Adding to that, I wanted to experience the beautiful Danube and historic cities along the way. Everything exceeded my expectations more than I could imagine, never dreaming I'd enjoy all of the tours as much as I did. I loved the old monasteries, castles, churches, etc. My daughter was with me and we totally enjoyed the Alsvin ship, comfortable and clean cabin, the lovely dining room, delicious food, the intimacy of the smaller passenger group, musical entertainment, and the staff could not have been nicer or more efficient. Sitting on the upper deck gliding down the river, gazing out at the villages and countryside, castles now and then, was most relaxing. Embarkation and disembarkation was done smoothly. Would I go on another Viking cruise? In a heartbeat!!!
