Recently retired and wanted to experience a river cruise. Was attracted to the high end cruise line, the ability to experience a cross section of Europe, and the reputation of Viking. This cruise was also highly recommended by a colleague. The only minor downside is that we tried to do too much, booked too many excursions and had little free time.

Dining aboard ship was excellent and all ship staff were outstanding in their friendliness and professionalism.

The weather during the cruise was mixed, had some cold and wet days but this is no reflection on Viking. Book later in the spring or in summer for better temperatures. On the positive side was that the cities, towns, and attractions visited were not overly crowded as they can be in the summer holiday season.

Cabin Review

Veranda Stateroom

Cabin B

Cabin was remarkably clean and kept that way throughout the cruise. Enough room, and the balcony was really nice. Great views and lots of fresh air. Noise was not a problem, generally nice and quiet. The mattress was a bit lumpy however.
