We loved sailing on the Riviera from Athens on the Romance and Relics tour. The ship was spectacular, most especially the service and food. The crew was outstanding a almost every encounter with staff was pleasant. We got to saying hello and calling the staff by name after only a few days aboard. The food experience was the highlight of the ship, most notably Polo restaurant which rated a sold 10/10. I rated Toscana 8/10, Jacques 7.5/10 and Red Ginger 6.5/10....all were very good, but we got spoiled after having excellent cuisine. This ship seemed to visit nicer ports than the competing cruise lines. We also noticed the ship was in port for a long period of time when compared to other ships. The only downer was the nightlife that was absolutely dead. I think there were 15 people in Horizons the first night and only slightly more as the cruise progressed. We can't wait to return on another Oceania cruise.
Great cabin close to the elevator and stairs. The adjacent cabin was category PH-1. The air conditioning in this suite was great and we even slept with the door open a few nights to enjoy the sound of the ocean. The butler will provide you with service if you know to ask. We didn't much of him and received little attention in return.
Arrive a few days early to soak up the Greek culture and food.
